Check out 11 minutes of fast first-person action gameplay in Phantom Abyss. In Phantom Abyss, you compete with other players around the world to steal an idol from a temple filled with tough jumps, booby traps, and hidden keys.

Be warned, you only get one attempt at each temple and failure or settling for a lesser relic means you will never see that temple again… The cleverest players will use the phantom runs of failed attempts from other players to their advantage and avoid the missteps and mistakes that led to their doom.

Once an adventurer dies, that specific temple becomes locked away forever to them and the phantoms of fallen players can help guide future players to see what obstacles lie ahead. Once the treasure at the end of the temple has been claimed, the temple goes away forever, too.

Whether it’s the latest info on a new game, or hot gossip on the industry’s movers, shakers and smashers, you’ll find it all here and nicely packaged at Kotaku. The Australian edition of Kotaku is focused on taking all this fantastic news and crafting it into a tasty treat for all you Aussies and Kiwis. Sure, you could mosey over to the US site, but you’d miss out on all the juicy gaming goodness that’s relevant – and important – to you.

I understand that is due to the servers being reset but perhaps a forced progression reset wasn't the best idea.

While the ability gives you some pretty good mid-air horizontal movement, it is outclassed by most other movement options. Not a useless ability, but it doesn't have much utility either.

“It’s the game we always dreamed of crafting and we hope you dive into the adventure with as much passion as we poured into creating it.”

It may help you tackle some vertical challenges, navigate tall rooms, and reach ceiling treasure chambers, but those rooms are few and far-between compared to the more "horizontal" challenges, and all of these can still be easily cleared with your whip and any of the movement blessings above.

In a pinch, it can help you if you would otherwise have been just a split-second too late for your whip to connect, and it can literally pull you out of a sticky situation faster.

best whip in your opinion? ive unlocked all the whips and im not really sure which one i would consider the "best whip" funny enough tho id say the phantom whip (green whip) is one of my favourite whips; however when there isnt any phantoms i feel like sobbing
